I want to dedicate this blog to my great aunt, the timelessly chic Florence Pushker. She was and continues to be a legend of the Chicago fashion scene, modeling in Coca Cola ads, inspiring designers, and personal shopping Marshall Fields for clients like Oprah Winfrey. She once told Michael Kors to listen to his mother. She was the definition of what it means to have true style–she was always chic, of course, but also smart, opinionated, and consistently up-to-date on what was going on in the world. She was strong, kind, and loving, and knew that the “it” factor of a stylish woman came from more than just toting a 2.55. She will always be my ultimate inspiration in fashion, love, and life. I wish she were here to see my work on this blog and my fashion pursuits in years to come–I’ll be thinking about her the whole way.
