Possibly one of my favorite looks ever.

Combining a couple great boutique finds from winter break:  This vest, with faux leather detailing and sheer panels that hang down at the sides and back, from Rebel boutique in Miami and the perfect white tee, which I needed, from this great new boutique in Vail called Coco & Cashmere.  My mom got some great stuff there, too, and they had an amazing selection of brands:  greats like Melie Bianco, Urban Expressions, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Kendra Scott and BB Dakota.

This is a very edgy, streetstyle-inspired look and I love it.  These ankle boots are all-time faves and I only wear them on days when I’m not running around too much, because of the heel.  They’re covered in glitter, have a perfect round toe and stacked heel, and of course the fact that they’re Betsey Johnson and have leopard print lining never hurts.

These jean shorts are great, just distressed enough and look great with sleek black tights.

I want to spend some time talking about the scarf.  It’s one of the more “fashion” pieces in my closet.  It’s Givenchy with that cool doberman print that Tisci has been doing.  The dobermans are edgy with a quirk, and anything that displays my love of animals, especially if it’s recognizable high-fashion, is a must-do for me.  I love the way the scarf hangs, too, and it’s so soft.  I’m not usually one for square scarves, but this one is so big that once you fold it you can basically drape it like a rectangular scarf, and the corners help it hang nicely.

As always, the Falabella is a cool finishing touch.

What I’m Wearing:

  • S Line vest from Rebel
  • Dakota Collective tee from Coco & Cashmere
  • Marc by Marc Jacobs shorts
  • Givenchy scarf
  • Betsey Johnson booties
  • Ann Taylor Tights
  • Michael Kors bangle
  • Express earrings
  • Stella McCartney bag
  • As always, Aunt Florence’s watch

Go feel awesome today.

And Now I Will Start Living Today.

This is what I wore yesterday.

This skirt was a 19th bday gift (was thursday)  from a wonderful friend.   Thank you Charlotte!

The tulle!  The brocade!  I’m so in love with it and it felt perfect for a cool streetstyle-esque photo.  I knew it would be great with this jacket and the red lip was absolutely necessary.

Got this gold cuff last month at Juicy.  I’ve always admired their jewelry and this was the first piece I bought.  Such a fantastic statement peice.

Basically, tulle and combat boots.  Punk princess.  Enough said.

What I’m Wearing:

  • Miami skirt from Francesca’s Collections (and from the beautiful Charlotte)
  • MICHAEL Michael Kors Jacket
  • J. Crew tank top
  • Juicy Couture cuff
  • Forever 21 necklace
  • Vince Camuto earrings
  • Ann Taylor tights
  • Madden Girl boots
  • Moxie by Bare Minerals lipstick

Quote from the song I’ve had stuck in my head for the past two days, Lea Michele’s new single “Cannonball.”

Live it up.

One of my favorite quotes, no idea who said it, but I figured it was appropriate for today, since the weather is awful and I thought, screw it, I’m still wearing my favorite brocade pants like I was planning.

Two of my favorite pieces today which you will probably see mixed and matched a lot over the course of this blog.  Sometime last year I saw this jacket in PeopleStylewatch and thought, I MUST have that.  It’s denim so it’s so comfortable, with frayed edges and faux-leather and gold chain trim.  Basically, amazing.  So I searched for months and I couldn’t find it anywhere, and I later learned my mom even called the company in an effort to get it for me for Christmas!  Finally, about two months later, I was walking down the street in NYC and from across the street, my mom and I saw it in the Michael Kors window and freaked out.   When we went to the store they said they had just got it in!  Oftentimes magazines publish products that won’t be available for a while–but the search was so rewarding!  As for the pants, they’re probably the piece in my wardrobe I get the most comments on because they’re so bold.  They’re so me though–I love the brocade trend from last fall and mint is one of my favorite colors.  As for the gold thread, if there’s one thing you should know about me, it’s that I’m not afraid to go glam for day.

Today, my ring says “New York” and my necklace is the Eiffel Tower.  I don’t usually wear both of these at once (showing love to one fashion capital at a time is enough!) but today I felt like it.  These are some of my favorite pieces of jewelry.

What I’m wearing:

  • MICHAEL Michael Kors jacket
  • J. Crew Collection pants
  • Boutique 9 flats
  • H&M Conscious Collection tank
  • Forever 21 necklace and bag
  • Francesca’s Collections belt
  • BCBG MAXAZRIA earrings
